Muslims worship/ perform Namaz to please Almighty Allah. Namaz is referred to as Salat or Salah in Arabic. Performing Salah means communicating with the Lord. Additionally, it protects a person from committing sins or other undesirable behaviors. In a hadith, our beloved Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W) said,

“Salat is the key to heaven.”

Allah Almighty has bestowed Muslims with five times daily prayers. Muslims should offer Salah regularly to connect with Allah and to protect themselves from the misguidance of Shaitan (Satan). Muslims must pray five times daily, or else they will be punished on the Day of Judgment.

Every Salat contains a series of movements known as Rakats. Each Salat has different rakats, whether performed at home or in a mosque. We have covered all five obligatory prayers and their Rakats on this page. So let’s get started with the Namaz Names, Rakats.

Fajar Rakats (Morning Prayer)

The time for this Salat begins from dawn to just before sunrise. The two Rakats of Fajar are Fard, and the other 2 Rakats are Sunnat Mokadda making a total of four Rakats.

Although getting up so early in the morning is difficult, if you do it just to worship Allah, it will energize and lighten up the day. A hadith found in Bukhari says:

“Whoever offers the Fajr prayer, Allah will protect him throughout the day.”

Performing Fajr prayer regularly will protect you from hell. Allah also grants you blessings throughout the day and shields you from danger. Fajr prayer must therefore be offered and must never be skipped. In addition, offering the Fajr prayers also enhances Rizq.
